OMAHA, Neb- (TD Ameritrade Park)  LSU took the field Monday knowing it was going to be a 'Committee Effort' on the mound against the Gators of Florida.

Russell Reynolds got the start and was successful through 3 1/3 until he started struggling with command, walking three Gator hitters in a row. Reynolds threw 61 pitches with 3 of those being First Pitch Strikes. He ended his outing with a Strike% of 52, 2 K's-2 Hits and 3 Walks.

Nick Bush came on in relief also throwing 3 1/3 innings with a total of 51 pitches- 8 First Pitch Strikes. Bush ended with a nice Strike% of 71 striking out 2 while giving up 3 hits.

Hunter Newman finished the game going 2 1/3 accumulating a Strike% of 66 through 32 pitches, 7 of which were First Pitch Strikes.

Newman struck out 1, gave up 1 hit and walked 2.


Jared Poche is scheduled to start tomorrow night's Game 2 facing Florida's Tyler Dyson.
