OMAHA, Neb. — Winning early in Omaha has it’s advantages. Especially when it comes to Pitching. From the Winner’s Bracket, the Hogs have played 3 Games to Oregon State’s 5, where the Beavers played back to back vs. Mississippi State for their bid to play in the Championship Series. With Oregon State playing every other day to stay alive after losing their first game, Arkansas has been able to reset their rotation. Advantage physically AND mentally.

With all that, Arkansas is in a good spot. But that is not how they are approaching Game 2. Asked in the Press Conference about the message after the game, Coach Van Horn had some good advice for his players.

“I just don't want them to get too wound up, I don't want them to think about it. I just want them to come out tomorrow with the attitude that tomorrow is do or die. I think we play a little better that way. Take it to them. Don't wait for something to happen. Don't lay around in bed tonight thinking, oh, one more game, because that game will never happen if you think like that. You've just got to come play. These guys are in a good place mentally. It's not life or death. I've told them that three times this week; it's just baseball.”
